Cookies

Cookie policy.

What we store on your device, why, and how to change it. Spoiler: almost nothing.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They let a page remember your settings or make bot protection work, for example. On tools.upnext.cz we try to use as few as possible.

Cookie categories

We group cookies into three categories:

  • Necessary — the site won’t work without them, so they can’t be switched off. On tools.upnext.cz these are:
    • Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on some tools (when enabled). Managed by Cloudflare.
    • Language preference (NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers whether you want the site in Czech or English.
    • Admin sign-in — only for editors in the /admin area. Regular visitors are not affected.
  • Analytics — traffic measurement. When enabled we use self-hosted Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly tool that stores no cookies and identifies no individuals. Analytics is currently disabled.
  • Marketing — advertising and remarketing. We use none — there are no ads and no cross-site tracking on this site.

Managing consent

If the site shows a cookie banner, you can use it to accept or reject the optional categories (analytics, marketing). Necessary cookies cannot be switched off, because the site would not work without them. You can change your decision at any time — by reopening the banner or in your browser settings, where you can also delete cookies whenever you like.

Consent is governed by Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications, and by the GDPR.

Changes

We may update this policy if we add or remove a service. The current version is always on this page. How we handle personal data in general is described in our privacy policy.
