What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. They let a page remember your settings or make bot protection work, for example. On upnext.cz we try to use as few as possible.
Cookie categories
We group cookies into three categories:
- Necessary — the site won’t work without them, so they can’t be switched off. On upnext.cz these are:
- Your cookie banner choice — remembers which categories you allowed or rejected.
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot protection on some tools (when enabled). Managed by Cloudflare.
- Language preference (
NEXT_LOCALE) — remembers whether you want the site in Czech or English. - Admin sign-in — only for editors in the
/adminarea. Regular visitors are not affected.
- Analytics — traffic measurement. We use self-hosted Rybbit — the statistics run on our own infrastructure and are shared with nobody. It loads via Google Tag Manager and only runs with your consent in the cookie banner.
- Marketing — conversion measurement and remarketing. We use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), which stores the
_fbpand_fbccookies; our server sends the same events via the Meta Conversions API. Both run only with your consent in the cookie banner.
Managing consent
You can accept or reject the optional categories (analytics, marketing) in the cookie banner. Necessary cookies cannot be switched off, because the site would not work without them. You can change your decision at any time — by reopening the banner or in your browser settings, where you can also delete cookies whenever you like.
Consent is governed by Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications, and by the GDPR.
Changes
We may update this policy if we add or remove a service. The current version is always on this page. How we handle personal data in general is described in our privacy policy.
